Behind the name

The Malaherd Story

We all have that special breed that we are drawn to. We wanted to honor two of our incredible fur babies, who we lost prior to opening – an Alaskan Malamute and a German Shepard. Instead of incorporating their names, we decided to use their breeds. Thus, Malaherd was born – “Mala” for Alaskan Malamute and “Herd” for German Shepherd.
